As part of her social welfare interventions, the Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, has distributed food items to residents in her council area.
At the distribution exercise held at the Ijede LCDA Secretariat on Tuesday, beneficiaries received bags of rice and other essentials.
The beneficiaries comprised the elderly, widows, and vulnerable residents drawn from the Egbin/Itun-Oliwo, Ayegbami/Odoro, Oke-Oyinbo, and Abule-Eko/Oke-Eletu communities. Youths and persons with disabilities (PWDs) also benefited from the initiative.

While addressing the beneficiaries, Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba stated that the gesture is part of her activities to support vulnerable residents.
“This charitable act is our way of supporting residents and ensuring that the vulnerable members of our community feel the impact of governance during this holy period of Ramadan and Lent.”
She further explained that the programme was designed to complement the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Looking ahead to the 2027 presidential election, she also enjoined residents to intensify grassroots mobilisation and support for the President’s administration.”

Many of the beneficiaries and community leaders reacting to the LCDA Chairman’s gesture, expressed their profound gratitude, praising her humanitarian spirit and proactive leadership.
